About True Blue Jazz

True Blue Jazz was born on opening night of the 07-08 regular season as a healthy 2500 word text message exchange between two buddies.  The newly born text transcript was so funny that they decided to send it to all of their closest Jazz friends and celebrate their new arrival.  From there the text baby was emailed to a few other buddies and BAM, the True Blue Jazz staff was born.  Because texting was hard, they decided to start a blog called My Utah Jazz.  At first the blog was private and only for friends until about January 2008 when it started catching fire and the joy of being a Jazz fan needed to be shared with the rest of the world.

That fire caught the attention of ESPN, Yahoo!, USA Today, LA Times and other NBA blogosphere participants. My Utah Jazz was named the #1 fan voted Jazz blog in April of 2008 and it was decided that it was time to grow up as bloggers.  So, during the off-season we decided to ditch the blogspot.com address and rename the blog to True Blue Jazz.

The site you see is the latest result of that move. TBJ joined Bloguin in November 2008 and looks to continue to lead the way for delusionally optimistic Jazz fans everywhere.  We invite all True Blue Jazz fans to join in and let your voice be heard.  We believe that being a Utah Jazz fan is the purest and truest form of fandom and hope you do too.  If you are wondering if you are indeed a True Blue Jazz fan ask your self the following questions:

1- Is Deron Williams better than Chris Paul?

2- Do you get immense feelings of joy and satisfaction watching Tracy McGrady cry at the end of every season?

3- Is Kobe Bryant the worst person alive?

4- Should the Denver Nuggets change their name to the Denver Thuggets?

5- Does CJ Miles suck?

If you can answer yes to all of those questions then congratulations you are indeed a True Blue Jazz Fan!
