In case you haven't heard, Booze was on radio again in Miami. Surprise surprise. The moron can't keep his mouth shut.So, can he envision himself returning for a sixth season in Utah?
When asked a similar question Monday by a Miami sports-radio host, the Jazz power forward-for-now gave a simple, four-letter, two-word response:
"Um, no."
Then why did you opt in, you moron? Should've left when you could've... or should've kept your mouth shut after opting in. You're making things difficult for everyone. And most likely hurting your trade chances in the process. Seriously though... when they say he thinks about himself only, they ain't lying.
Boozer, who recently opted to play out the final year of his contract with the Jazz for $12.7 million, also:
- voiced concerns about financial hardships caused by the "lull" in the economy and taxes;
- lauded his own playoff performance this past spring against the Los Angeles Lakers;
- declared himself "100 percent healthy;"
- reiterated his desire to make the South Beach area his year-round home instead of just an offseason destination.
Financial hardships? You're making $13 million. Shut the fVck up and play. Or give the money back. You've robbed us for the past 5 seasons. About the playoffs... um, it's important to show up on both ends and at all times.You only showed up on one end. 5, 4, 4 fouls in the first 3 games, and a 10 & 8 performance in the last game speak volumes about your performance.There's a reason the team did much better with you on the bench in the last game.It's called basketball... it's a team game! Again, if you wanted to be in Miami, you shouldn't have opted in! I think the Jazz should trade him to the Grizzlies or something, just for fun. Oh, and he hasn't been 100% healthy since he was born. Is this all because he hates playing for Sloan or something? Boozer said the ball is in the Jazz's court as far as trading him — something he recently claimed the organization told him it was going to do because he allegedly doesn't fit into its long-term plans — but the two-time All-Star added that he isn't pressuring the Jazz to deal him to the Heat."That's not my style. It's not me and what we do," he said. "They're in control of that situation.
"Obviously," he added, "they'll handle it in the best way that they can. They'll keep me and my agent abroad and just see what happens, but I'm staying out of it. My agent's staying out of it for the most part. We're letting (Jazz general manager) Kevin O'Connor and the Utah Jazz take care of the stituation."
I call BS. Complete and utter bullsh!t there. "It's not my style" my a**. What do you think you're doing every time you open your fu**ing mouth?!? You're not letting the Jazz take care of it, you moron. Not even close. Seriously, just shut the fVck up and let things happen as they happen. Staying out of it? Yeah... right.
How would I treat this if I was KOC? Simple... I stop trying to find a trade partner. As it is, this team isn't going to win it all this season, barring a huge miracle. It's the same team as last season... still in no position to stop the Lakers... and every other team seems to be improving. So, if the season is a "meh" season, I stop searching for a trade. If someone comes along and offers a solid young player (like Brook Lopez) or someone that can make you instant contenders for a CHAMPIONSHIP (not the playoffs)... like, say, MJ in his prime, I listen. Otherwise, I say whatever I need to in the media, but I stop seriously looking.
On the court, I tell j-slow to start 'Sap at the 4, and bring AK off the bench after him. Booze is the 3rd option. That is easily the best option for the Jazz team... Booze is not in this for the team, that's obvious. After the season, let Booze leave as a FA (no one is going to offer much for him) and let him find his big contract after spending the season as the 3rd-string PF.
Move on after that. As is so well stated in Moneyball...
The day you say you have to do something, you're screwed. Because you're going to make a bad deal.
So, I avoid the bad deal by simply ignoring the loud-mouth sitting on the bench. Seriously, the guy is burning every bride in the Western Hemisphere right now...I would do absolutely nothing to help him. Is there any way he doesn't get booed the first game of the season when he's introduced as the starting PF (because the Jazz brass are morons)?
The other issue... is Matt Harpring done?
He didn't tell me his final plans, but I get the feeling that Harpring won't play again.
I'll admit, I'm not the biggest Harpring fan out there. Not close. That said, when he's correctly utilized (being used to frustrate players on teams that don't have the run-and-shoot offense), he's a boon to the Jazz. Unfortunately for everyone involved, Sloan rarely correctly utilized him. His absence could end up in more minutes for Brewer, CJ & Korver... it'll be interesting to see how that all works out.
While Sloan weeps and we wait for the final word (hopefully he's not like Brett Favre), I'd like to ask him to do one last thing to help the Jazz. Please, please... take out Boozer with a body check or something.
