1.27.09 Pre-Game Power Rankings

CB Jack took care of the pre-game banter with Project Spurs earlier today, so this will be brief.  The Jazz are 1.5 point favorites tonight against Roger Mason and the Spurs.  Yes, that's Roger Mason and a bunch of other guys.  He TORCHED the Jazz for 29 points and 7 threes when the two teams played back on Nov 21.  I even warned them to watch out for Mason, but no one listens to me.  The Jazz haven't won since the Minnesota game, which is when AK sat out the second half with a bum ankle.  In the 3 games that followed the Jazz have allowed 109 points per game, that's not good...not good at all.  The Jazz DO have a 4 game regular season home win streak against the Spurs (I know that's pushing the limits of selective statistics) and are hopefully pretty pissed about how they're playing.  The Spurs just got hammered in LA on Sunday and are probably equally pissed.  What does this all mean?  I have no earthly clue.  It may just come down to another game winner from the Turkish assassin  (watch this at 3:08, there's another one out there but it's lost in cyberspace).
