This little guy could give the Jazz big problems

The Knicks are in town tonight to face the Jazz, who are coming off a 104-99 OT victory over the Suns.  The last time these 2 teams met was Nov. 9 in NYC, which was actually the first loss of the season for the Jazz.  No Deron in that game, but Boozer had 19 and 17 and AK had 18 points as well.  The Knicks are coming off a loss in Charlotte, but did the Jazz a favor by beating the Hornets the day before.  The Knicks have been a tough opponent for the Jazz for some strange reason, going 2-7 in the last 9 matchups.  A win tonight would put them a half game ahead of the Hornets and would tie them with Portland for 5th in the West (although the Jazz own the tiebreaker so far).

Aside from Nate Robinson and Al Harrington, I don't see the Knicks posing much of a threat.  David Lee will get his double-double and the Knicks may have 1 or 2 good quarters, so I'll take the Knicks to cover but the Jazz to win, 106-98.  However, I expect it to be a 10-12 point spread for most of the game.  I'd like nothing more, however, than a blowout so that the starters can get some rest before the NW Division showdown in Portland tomorrow (another back-to-back on the road that could have been avoided with a Sunday home game).

ESPN: 11 (-1)

Fox Sports: 10 (-1)

SI: 8 (-1)

NBA.com: 7 (-1)

USA Today: 9 (+1.  Yes I'm using USA Today again, but only because they're the only other place to update on Mondays)

High: 7  Low: 11  Average: 9

There, I think I managed to write an entire post without directly or indirectly insulting the entire state of Oregon.  Huzzah!

You kind of indirectly mentioned Portland by not telling us how they were #1 in all of those media outlets power rankings. No biggie though, just don't do it again.

Truthfully, it was interesting to see that 7-11 are almost all the same teams just interchanged: Jazz, Hornets, Blazers, Hawks and Nuggets/Rockets

Mr. Clutch is at it again 18 points and 8 dimes. Only 2 turnovers, that's pretty good for him.

Looks like you got your wish, a blowout, you should be fresh for tomorrow. Unless, you have another 2nd half meltdown....

How is that a troll? D-Will is having a great 1st half.

I don't want to be a troll, I just want to be a blazer fan tha posts over here. Why is the above comment troll-ish?

It's the jab about the turnovers, isn't it?

I kinda predicted this... Not to toot my own horn...

Seriously, has this been a problem all year long? I haven't followed the Jazz too closely, have the last 2 games just been a coincidence?

Every team gives up leads. Suns are better than the Knicks, Jazz just cooled off after a 60% first half

I think our best unit right now is the one that finished this game: DWill, Millsap, Boozer, Korver, and Brewer.

Just seems to be a good balance of an inside game, 3 point shooting, and defense.

Hope AK's finger gets better (Ice It AK!!)

any 2 of Memo, Booz, and Sap. With Memo you get the added 3s and clutchness and with Sap and Booz it's all layups and rebounds

Interesting, this coming from the guys who said I was a troll for doing the exact same thing at Bust A Bucket.

We need to call a troll truce. Agreed?
