Actually Portland has beaten all those teams, just not in a row...

Guys, I was planning on going to the Orlando game this Sunday down here in Florida. Am I allowed to? Should I make the sacrifice like Scrum and stay away? It's the one time all year I get to see the Jazz play live. Two of the top teams in the NBA, plus a chance to get revenge for that game back in Salt Lake when the Magic beat us without Dwight.

Follow your heart Moneyman-that's what I do.

"Portland is so great. I love Portland. I am going to name my first born son or daughter Portland. Brandon Roy haunts my dreams."

Isn't there a whole lot of other blogs on the web that you people can go visit to share your Blazer love with? The point IS they have beaten all of those teams in a row, not that they have just beaten them.

I agree with The Agreement (?). Follow your heart MoneyMan.

and also follow your once chance to see the Jazz play live. I'd go.

But then again, as you guys have been reading, I'm a LA Laker loving Troll. So who am I to speak.

Listen up Chief (scratch that off of my lines I've always wanted to type).

Portland will make the playoffs. And that is it. Not only do your players have no playoff experience, your fans have no playoff experience. This is becoming more and more evident everytime one of you comes to make a point/comment/jab on our blog.

But you know what? You're welcome here. We love having the discussion.

Ugh, Lazer fans are such amateurs.

STAY THE HELL AWAY!

Nah, JK son. I'm not trying to be like that.

(...but really, stay the hell away. Don't blow it.)

So, your answer is "No" they have not beat them all in a row. That's the question CB is asking Chief.

Great Name though.

You have to go Money Man, just be prepared to take the wrath of booner if that is the game that breaks the streak. keep in mind that booner has not witnessed a single comeback victory for any of his favorite teams due to his superstitiion. And who am i to judge, its working right now so long live the iPhone booner!
...
written by booner, March 11, 2009
Just to give you an idea of how real this "iPhone Superstition" is; last night I was working late and the game was on here at work so it was difficult to avoid. However, each time I would walk out and check in on the game "Live" something bad would happen. The wide open layup D-Will missed....my fault. The loss of our double digit lead....my fault. I swear to you guys, that's exactly how it happened. I know it may sound far-fetched and damn right creepy, but I swear on my life it happened that way. If I so much as walked past the TV heading towards the vending machine or restroom all I would here from those gathered around the TV was comments like "oh come on Jazz!" "don't blow it Jazz," "You suck" and "my wife left me." (That was weird.) Anywho. I am going to stick with this until they need me to do something different. Go Jazz.

That is the type of commitment that we expect from every fan. For my part I have been wearing my Jazz cufflinks every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday for the last 3 weeks. No matter how in-appropriate they might be for the setting that I am in (Can you say Utah Jazz cufflinks in the big-house?). We are all involved in this streak and until it ends we have to keep up our end of the deal. I commend your efforts Booner and having watched you employ this strategy for many years I stand behind its validity.

I'd go with the iPhone method on Sunday. The Sabbath can be fickle. Jazz fans are not meant to watch their team in person on Sundays. LHM and Bishop Bryant would recommend the iPhone "fake like you are reading your scriptures" method.

written by The Agreement, March 11, 2009
I agree with both of you that we must do what is necessary for the Jazz to win, regardless of the personal cost to us. Each of us is different, but we all need to figure out our rolls. I have been wearing the same pair of underwear for over a month now, and I intend to keep on keepin' on as long as the Jazz need me.
...
written by The Agreement, March 11, 2009
By following your heart, I hope that you realize that means going to the game. Take your shirt off, and drench yourself in body paint. Make sure that you are overly obnoxious so that everyone around you will know you are representing the Jazz.

After the Jazz win though, make sure that you carefully plan your escape route-we don't want the Orlando fans going all Lakers fans on you.

Pretty quiet in here right now, perhaps you should keep your arrogant blow-hard posts to yourself and stick with realistic expectations. Karma just blasted you.

3 NW division teams are going to the playoffs, and based on the Jazz playoff history you should not be talking. Represent your team and act like you've been there before.

This is the one and only time I'm coming in here. Your behavior on my site and your own site is absurd. This post and your comments on my site were just plain embarrassing. You started this little spat and I'm ending it until we play each other again on the 31st.

Sheed just put you bitches in your place. What exactly is the point of a dumb-ass post like this, TBJ? Exactly the reason why everyone in the league think Jazz fans are such queers.

Good lord, you guys are tied for 4th place in the west, why the hell do you think you're so good? You have a lot of road games left, where by the way you are 0-8 against western conference teams with winning records. You guys are worse on the road than the Blazers! That's pretty bad.

I'm a Blazer fan, and yes you guys can say that we haven't won a playoff series in awhile, and you are correct, but we are a 50+ win team with the youngest playing rotation in the league, so I feel damn good about our team for the next 10 years. And I feel damn good that we, as fans, aren't stupid enough to put up posts on website as ridiculous and stupid as this one by CB Jack.

Sheed and I are only on this forum because CB Jack was on our site before we played the Lakers talking trash about how we were gonna lose. Who does that? He is neither a Blazer or a Laker fan. CB, are you 12 years old? You sure looked pretty smart after we absolutely dismantled the Lakers.

P.S. - How'd the game go tonight?

1. We don't believe in Karma.
2. Playoff history. At least we have one.
3. You wouldn't know how to act because you haven't been there in years.
4. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. My comments weren't embarrassing. Watching your "readers" react was embarrassing. I did start the spat, and I don't see any reason for it to end. Isn't that what sports is about? Rivalries?

No matter anyway. You won't be reading this. And if you are, you're a hypocrite. Peace Sheed.

Damnit Sheed, i am going to lose about 3 nights of sleep now wondering when and how we let you down. Please, please come back! I promise we wont act like fans any more. I promise that we will take this game and "responsibility" as bloggers more seriously. In fact, I vow to not have any more fun on the blogs again if it will make you feel better.
...
written by CB Jack, March 12, 2009
I was on the site because I'm interested in how the NW Division plays out. Did I mention I'm a Blazers fan? I'm also a Nuggets fan because I comment over there as well.

Anywho, look where you are right now....look up at the little white box where you type your website. Welcome to TBJ. Glad to have you. You are welcome anytime to talk about whatever you want.

To clarify, the only trash I talked was saying that the Lakers bench was deeper than Portland's. Sheed felt otherwise. So tell me Jazz fans. Who has a deeper bench? Lakers or Blazers?

CVD, if you feel differently, go ahead and explain to me.

You Zer fans need to chill and remember that blogging and following NBA teams are hobbies.

Are you saying you won't vote me for blogger of the year? That hurts.
...
written by CB Jack, March 12, 2009
I forgot to answer your question. The reason for the post is to remind you, as a Portland fan, that your team hasn't put together a 12 game win streak. Nothing less, nothing more. That was the reason.
...
written by Hammy, March 12, 2009
Aren't you guys losing at home right now. You should wait until your game is over to start running your flaps over here.

written by CVD2312, March 12, 2009
12 game win streak, worse record than Portland as of right now. Hmm. Why don't they just give the championship to the team with the longest win streak during the season since it is so important. P.S., Portland had a 13 game winning streak last year. Has your team put that together? And since for some reason you think our team is called the Zers, why don't you refer to your team as the Azz? Crazy mormons
...
written by CVD2312, March 12, 2009
And to answer YOUR question, yes, at full strength, I think the Blazers have the best bench in the league. Przybilla is easily the best backup center in the league. Rudy and Outlaw are double-digit scorers who would start on a lot of teams. We outscore the opposing bench pretty much every night.
