True Blue Jazz is proud to announce that we are getting bigger.

fat-guy-in-chair-thumb

We are going to be welcoming two new contributors to the site. We've been wanting to make this happen for a while, and after a few months of working with their agents it's official.

The Agreement and UtesFan89 are the newest members of our team. The Agreement has written for Jazz Bots and UtesFan89 was the lead blogger for The Utah Jazz (Jazzerdous Materials)

Here is the skinny (no pun intended) on our newest members:

The Agreement: It is rumored that The Agreement is somehow related to Karl Malone, but genetic science and his overall appearance are quick to discredit that rumor. Never-the-less, he was born on the night John Stockton dropped his first Dime in a ‘Zags uni, and an immediate metaphysical relationship was made. Since that night, he has lived and died with the Jazz, and vows to devote all that is required to help them win a World Championship. His hobbies include making fun of Nuggets and Blazers fans, teaching Lakers fans how to do math, and feeling sorry for Rockets fans (for whatever reason he is totally cool with Bullets fans though. Wait…they changed their name to what? When?? Scratch that part about Bullets, err, Wiz…whatever). He is completely biased and no amount of arguing, torture, or money could ever change his homerness (how much money are we talking about?).

UtesFan89: As for my writing & all... you'll come to see (I think) that I'm one of the bigger CJ supporters around here (though his salary is too high for how 'much' he plays). I'll bash J-Slow often... not because he's a bad coach (he's not), but because I absolutely abhor his rotations and unwillingness to bench those that suck/are playing bad. I'm in the 'Sap > Booze camp, not because he's a better overall player (at least not yet), but because Booze isn't worth the money he wants (he would be if he didn't have a major injury problem). I hate Flop, and I'm not big on No Knees/Tonya Harding/Matt Harpring/whatever you call him. I'd love to see J-Slow play the youngsters. Going back, I hate Malone simply because he went to the Lakers. Mostly because it's the Lakers. I'm not one to write many recaps, largely because I don't get to watch many (most) of the games... so I'll stick with other things. Like looking ahead to the offseason. Or something like that.

These guys are great writers and will certainly contribute to the material and community here at TBJ. Welcome guys and we can't wait for your first official post!

Congrats, this website just got 100x worse. TheAgreement is by far the most annoying one on here, always picking fights with other teams fans and making Jazz fans look retarded. Running his mouth when we went on that winning streak only to start dropping games like flies. Please get this idiot off the site! It's so much better without him!

I think you'll see that once one gains the coveted title of "contributor" the posts seem to instantly become more agreeable and smarter.

THAT....or you stop reading them. Either way, Agreement stays and the blog gets more diverse.q

Ha GreatSalt32. Thanks buddy! I feel welcome already. I promise not to pick fights with any other fan unless they pick a fight with us first. As far as me being responsible for the winning streak ending, I take full responsibility. I have known since the Dantley days not to get too cocky when the Jazz start to win some games. It somehow only works for the Lakers in advancing a streak.

My guess is your a Blazers fan in disguise, and your upset about the Cav's game. Not a big deal. It's all in good fun (unless of course you really are a Blazer's fan).

I'll have to agree with Scrum. A community has all types of characters. We wouldn't have brought him on if we didn't feel he was adding to the site.

As Cramer would say: The key to a good portfolio is diversification!

by the way GreatSalt32, This is the way you choose to make your first comment? You won't get voted queen of the prom with comments like this.

I didn't mean that you were responsible for the win streak ending, but really getting all cocky about it only makes you look retarded once we lose, especially since we've been playing so crappy since. I also don't think the Blazers are the best team to be talking trash to anyway, I think they are going to be our nemesis for years to come.

CB, you don't have much room to talk either. Too often you turn into that annoying fan rather than someone who is supposed to be running a website. Scrum, I got much love for, easily the most well thought, realistic posts.

GO JAZZ!

Would you rather me just agree with everything you say? You guys have a comment section for a reason, so I'm going to comment. I feel like TheAgreement is a terrible contributor that writes things that any super-hyped 17 year old jazz fan could write. I'm probably not the only one that feels that way. Just my opinion, I'm not trying to make any friends by it.

I agree again. Scrum is easily the best writer on this site.

I agree too. I often speak from the gut...scrum thinks it out first.

Being "retarded" sucks

I'm only 16, so that was actually a comment in some weird, twisted way. Thank you?

Not a big deal GreatSalt, thanks for the early criticism. I hope you really do visit often, and I really hope to contribute to the site. This is the best Jazz blog on the web, and I promise its all in good fun like I said. If you ever feel like I am off on something, please comment. I really do respect the Blazers and Nuggs, but you gotta be able to raz each other. I hope to win you over in the future, but in the mean time lets just hope the Jazz come out focused tomorrow night.

So who's butt is that in the picture? UtesFan89 or The Agreement?

Yowza.

Welcome you two - I love the diversity of the site. And it's nice to have some optimists...a lot of us are pretty tough on the Jazz and tend to be pessimistic when they lose (I count myself in that camp, along with CBJ, Booner, and Hammy). Hopefully we'll get some inspirational posts after games like Orlando last Sunday.

By the way, I went to that game, guys. You can blame the loss on me. I immediately regretted it within the first 2 minutes...about the time when Sloan got ejected. I got to Amway Arena about an hour before the game and got to go courtside. Saw Dwight Howard shooting around with Patrick Ewing, JJ Redick, Pietrus, Turkoglu, etc... Who cares about them, they suck.

On the Jazz side Korver, Kosta, and Brevin Knight were shooting on the court. Immediately a bad sign that none of the other guys came out. No Dwill, no Booze, Memo, AK, Brewer. I spoke with Coach Corbin and Kosta and asked them if they were ready after the 3OT game in Miami the day before. Corbin gave me a death stare and said nothing. Kosta said, "Of course, we're ALWAYS ready" Clearly Kosta should have played that night. Kosta is massive in real life, btw. That kid will be good - if he learns to attack the basket more instead of settling for jumpers.

Got to shake Korver's hand and wish him luck. Clearly that played a role in his outstanding performance that night (2-6 shooting, 6 points).

Here's the best part. Painful as it was to stay the entire game, it was even more painful when I was leaving. It just so happened that our seats were right in front of one of the official scorer tables (not courtside, it was way up on the lower bowl). I could hear them keeping track of all the action the entire game. Well as I stood up to leave, one of the workers, an old lady, tapped me on the shoulder and handed me the official scoring report and said, "Here's a reminder of how much your team sucked tonight."

Damn, thats a low blow by the little old lady in Orlando. I thought Orlanda was a place for people to go and die, not to go and be bitter towards Jazz fans. At least you represented us well Moneyman. You were the only possitive thing for the Jazz that day.

If you're hoping for optimism from me, we're in trouble.

Just FYI.

I would have punched her in the gut and say "Here's a reminder about the time you handed a Jazz fan a scoresheet and he punched you in the gut.".

Just an idea.
