By the way Boozer was acting, this is no little thing. He tried to tough it out. I watched him attempt to stay in the game but as soon as he put pressure on the leg he called the timeout. Not good. Not good at all. I hope it's a 1-3 game thing, but by the look of it and from evidence of Hammy Gate 2006, Boozer does not heal fast. My prediction is 2 weeks. I hope I'm wrong and we see him back Friday. But regardless.... what freaking gives? I'm reminded of a line from the childrens classic "Little Rascals." Yes, I am quoting Little Rascals..." And then God looked down from Heaven and said I hate you Utah Jazz."
Boozer is easily replaced because all he gives the Jazz is 20 and 10, which is very nice, but that is all. He really does not add anything else to this team. Millsap can easily fill the rebounding void and (gulp) CJ can pick up the scoring slack. As for AK the Jazz would be loosing 17 and 7, which could be picked up by others like Boozers, but then there is the other stuff. On top of the points and rebounds he also is giving 5 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals that are not quite as easily replaced. So in terms of value to the team AK would have quite a bit more than Boozer at this point in time. Speaking of AK, I think he just picked Richard Jefferson's pocket again.
I had a few other non game related thoughts from last night.
1 - Did Jerry Sloan's wins with the Chicago Bulls get erased from his record? They keep saying that he has 1002 wins like those 50 or 60 wins with the Bulls never happened.
2 - All of the talking heads for the Jazz keep mentioning that the Jazz have the longest home winning streak in the league at 14 or 15 games. Do the playoffs not count in that stat? If my memory is correct the Jazz lost a home game to both the Rockets and Lakers making that streak only about 6 games in reality.
3 - What the hell is Zions Bank thinking? Have you seen the commercial with Boozer pretending to play a serious game by himself while words like, "Integrity", "Determination" and "Strength" flash across the screen? Umm, I would not have picked Boozer as my spokesman for that campaign, just saying.
Now to the game, what I loved about the game besides my side bet with CB(I think CJ just hit another free throw), back to my point, I loved the lineup of AK, CJ, Korver, Harp, and Milsap. AK running the point forward caused match up problems for every position on the floor. Even though AK shoots like Booner in 9th grade, he has a way of finding the mismatches..the dump downs to Korver and CJ in the blocks for layups..Another thing I like is having CJ post up smaller guards in that lineup, reminds me of the days of Shandon Anderson in the finals years. Good win but like many others I think we need show the 4th quarter effort for a full 48 mins.

Perhaps that Ball Boy who always gives high fives to the team can get a Jiffy Lube Lunch Box by season end. We should start a petition.

Um....
But seriously, I think Korver needs to sit back and watch Hapring play a little more. He needs to learn his toughness and his ability to make other players adjust to him. Harp is the king at getting under people's skin, this throws your opponents game into a spiral. Putting Harp and KK together would be the true great white hype.
C.B. Hello
Booner: Yes, is Sarcasm there?
C.B. What was that?
Booner: Sarcasm.
C.B. I'm sorry, there is no one here by that name.
Booner: Hmmm, well then. I apologize.
C.B. No problem.
First off: We never had that conversation, so I don't know why you are telling people we did.
secondly: You never call me CB when we talk on the phone, you call me by my real name.
Don't lie to people on this board. It will not be tolerated and I will petition that you lose admin priviledges.
