When it rains...it pours

Here is the latest from the DesNews.

"PHILADELPHIA — Mehmet Okur has been excused by the Jazz to attend to a family illness in his native Turkey.

After practice today, the Jazz weren't certain when Okur would return or if he would be back anytime before the conclusion of a five-game trip that ends Saturday night at Cleveland.

Further complicating matters, the Jazz today also said that reserve center Kyrylo Fesenko will leave the team to go to Toronto to address a visa situation. In a best-case scenario, Fesenko might make it back in time for Friday's game at Charlotte — meaning he'll miss not only Tuesday's game against the 76ers, but also Wednesday's against Washington.

Additionally, would-be backup center Jarron Collins was scheduled to take part today only in noncontact drills during practice and is not likely to be available Tuesday against the Sixers.

Collins has been out all season due to a bruised right elbow, bursitis and triceps tendinitis, stemming from an offseason golf-cart accident."

No Memo.

No Fesenko.

No Collins.

Look for Koufos to start Tuesday.

In the words of the great Craig Bolerjack "If you've got 'em, use 'em. Buckle up everyone, it's gonna be a wild ride".

How about starting Sap, he's certainly earned it

I agree. I'd love to see Sap get some starters minutes and see what he can do. That leaves us with an awfully small front line though.

Pulling from the 'Trib:

The Jazz also could start Andrei Kirilenko or Paul Millsap at power forward and play Carlos Boozer at center, but Sloan sounded inclined to continue bringing both off the bench.
"If I start Andrei or Paul, then I'm limited in the number of people that I
have available to try and finish the game, especially fatigue and that sort of thing," Sloan said.

Interesting link Jessie. Thanks. I wonder how many minutes Millsap can play and still maintain his high energy game.
